The airport is mostly general aviation and charter service, but is also served by two small scheduled commercial airlines, with non-stop service to Calgary, Edmonton, and several small communities in Alberta. The Penhold Air Cadet Summer Training Centre is located adjacent to the airport - near the town of Springbrook.
